WATCHES & WONDERS 2020: Baume & Mercier new Hampton and Clifton Collections
Baume & Mercier brings more versions to its most famous collections: Hampton and Clifton. Besides a new design and elevated finishes, the new models receive in-house calibres.
Baume & Mercier arrives at Watches & Wonders 2020 with more details and complications, offering now a refined look in tune with the glamour around the brand’s history.
New Hampton Collection
The well-known Baume & Mercier collection welcomes new rectangular cases inspired by the Art Deco movement. The polished steel cases are available in 3 sizes: 35 x 22,2 mm, 43 x 27,5 mm and 48 x 31 mm while inside there is a choice for quartz as well as mechanical automatic movements. For the mechanical hearts, Baume & Mercier adds casebacks in sapphire. On the complications list we find a three hand version, a version featuring a large date with dual time zone and a day and night indicator. The mechanism offers a power reserve of 42 hours.
New Clifton Baumatic Collection
Baume & Mercier adds new refined pieces in the Clifton Baumatic collection that receive an in-house caliber. The most complicated version offers a unique look in addition to the day-date and moon-phase functions. Inside the 42 mm diameter round case, the automatic movement offers a 5 day power reserve. Moreover, the watch comes with interchangeable blue alligator strap with Bordeaux overstitching. There is also a version available with a 42 mm diameter steel case that may come with a steel bracelet in addition to the blue alligator strap.
The new collection is completed by a Clifton Baumatic with big date complication available with 39 or 40 mm diameter case in steel, two-tone or 18 k rose gold. Inside the case, there is also an in-house automatic movement with a 5 day power reserve.
