BULGARI: From Rome to Romania
A series of elegant society gatherings and private views celebrated the official launch of Bulgari in Romania. For the occasion, a selection of exceptional watch pieces arrived in Bucharest to be displayed at a historical villa of Albini Prassa, the Romanian partner of the Italian Maison.
Horological connoisseurs and Bulgari lovers, journalists and influencers visited the invitation-only
shows to discover more about the watchmaking art of Bulgari through first-hand experience – from
Bulgari professionals. A whole delegation came to Bucharest, and was cordially introduced to the
guests. Among them, there were Domnica Margescu, friend of Bulgari, singers Inna and Alina
Eremia, socialites Carmen Grebenisan and Alina Ceusan.
Roman inspirations of Bulgari find a particular echo in this country of the shared Latin cultural
heritage. The guests were generously guided through magnificent stories – from ancient architecture
through the dolce vita times and glamourous cinema flair to the consistent vision that is behind the
Maison’s success, they were discovering many facets of the Bulgari universe of today, and the
prominent role of timepieces with their unique blend of Italian design and Swiss watchmaking
excellence.
Most sophisticated pieces of the iconic collections were on display in the refined interiors of the
aristocratic « Bee » villa in the Northern Dorobanti district of Bucharest.
Those were Serpenti and Divas’ Dream watches crafted with exquisite decorative and jewelry
technics, some being powered with high complications so appreciated by modern women. A
sparkling Serpenti Spiga High Jewelry full pave in white gold and hypnotizing Peacock Divas Dream
became definite stars of the show.
Bulgari collections for men are of strong appeal in Romania, and there was a rich selection of Octo
Finissimo line famous for breaking the molds and world records of thinness one after another for 10
years by now, awarded with many prestigious prizes, including L’Aguille d’Or (The Golden Hand)
received at the last Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve, the most important “Oscar” of the watch
industry.
The more you discover the big Bulgari universe, the more enchanted you feel. Day after day,
distinguished guests were meeting with watch wonders that many found breathtaking, sharing
impressions with their friends. Thus, the interest to the shows exceeded all expectations so that
Albini Prassa team had to prolong them for a few days and even late nights.
