Chopard New Collections: Mille Miglia, L.U.C. Perpetual Twin and Happy Sport

The new Mille Miglia collection for 2020 follows the well-established partnership even if the historical race has been postponed for late October. For this year, the special effect is given by the Azzurro dials matched to the blue perforated leather straps with a rubber lining inspired by vintage Dunlop racing tyres. The collection offers the Mille Miglia GTS Azzurro Chrono in a 44 mm diameter steel case limited to 750 pieces and the Mille Miglia GTS Azzurro Power Control in a 43 mm diameter steel and pink gold case limited to 500 pieces. Inside the Chrono there is an automatic movement with a power reserve of 48 hours while for the Power Control Chopard has prepared an in-house automatic calibre – COSC certified – with a power reserve of 60 hours.

The special model was first launched in 2016 to mark 20 years since the founding of Chopard Manufacture. The L.U.C Perpetual Twin is a practical everyday watch that holds inside a real haute horlogerie performance as far as calibre and finishing are concerned. As a unique characteristic, it remains the only chronometer-certified perpetual calendar in stainless steel currently on the market.

For 2020, Chopard presents the model in a new combination between the 43 mm diameter steel case and a blue dial. In the same time, the L.U.C Perpetual Twin is offered for the first time in 18-carat rose gold, with a grey dial.

Inside the case, there is a true work of art in the form of the mechanical automatic calibre L.U.C. 96.22-L which is very thin but in the same time it offers a power reserve of 65 hours thanks to its dual barrels.
